Corte Madera, CA – Summer 2022 – Time Concepts introduces the second series of ProTek, its new brand of tritium tactical watches, from the Founder and former owner Luminox. Following the launch of the Carbon Dive Series, ProTek announces the launch of its Steel Dive Series. All series in the ProTek brand are designed for a similar core group that includes Law Enforcement, SWAT, Tactical, Military, Special Forces, and Fire Fighters, and First Responders.
The ProTek brand has been named an Official Watch of the United States Marines Corps. ProTek watches were submitted to the USMC for review and analysis and were approved as an Official Watch of the USMC based on the accuracy, durability, quality, and superior ProGlo™ illumination that makes them ideal timepieces to serve Marines in the line of duty, and in their daily lives, but are also excellent timepieces for anyone leading an active lifestyle.
Designed in Switzerland, ProTek is an American watch brand, conceived and manufactured with the best quality components available to ensure years of problem-free wear with no issues. The Steel dive series is made with 316L stainless steel cases and tight 120-click unidirectional rotating bezels, sapphire crystals with antireflective coating, and dependable Japanese quartz movements with 10-year batteries. The watches have stainless steel screw case backs and screw crowns to ensure 200 meters of water resistance, and employ superior self-powered Swiss tritium illumination, enabling them to glow continuously for 25 years, providing time-at-a-glance visibility in any light condition including complete darkness. The series comes on comfortable waterproof genuine leather straps with signature buckles. The ProTek Steel Dive Series is the second of three series in the launch collection, with all set to begin shipping in July.
The no-excuses brand is “Rugged at Heart” and built to handle what life demands in any environment, lending credence to the tag line … “All Terrain Watches.” All watches are manufactured in a spotless assembly facility that has safeguards in place to ensure excellence in manufacturing quality timepieces, with an air filtration system that cleans the air inside, equivalent to an ISO7 clean-room standard.
“All watches in the ProTek brand feature the same unsurpassed self-powered illumination I pioneered with my former Luminox brand.” said Barry Cohen, Managing Partner of Time Concepts. “Our brand name defines us with ‘Pro’ meaning made for professionals, and ‘Tek’ signifying our superior self-powered illumination technology. In a bit of a word pun, ProTek watches are made for those that “protect” us. We are very proud that our brand has been designated as an Official Watch of the U.S. Marine Corps, one such group of elite protectors. ProTek Watches are Rugged at Heart and created to withstand the rigors of an active, demanding lifestyle.
The ProTek brand combines superior quality in its manufacturing processes and components, and its watches are ideally suited to the active outdoor enthusiast, but the steel watches are also ideal for dressier attire, including black tie events, making this series remarkably versatile. The Steel Dive Series is reasonably priced with a suggested retail of $475.
About Time Concepts, LLC
The ProTek brand will be part of the portfolio of brands under the Time Concepts umbrella. Time Concepts, LLC was started in 2007 by Barry Cohen during his tenure at Luminox Watch, a Swiss-made watch company he founded and owned for 27 years. Luminox gained fame for making watches that were supplied to Navy SEALs after a research and development officer approached him and asked to have a watch made for them that used the proprietary self-powered illumination that was a hallmark of the brand. Time Concepts was launched as a platform to develop private label watches. As the business evolved, it added its own Szanto vintage brand and the Hawaiian Lifeguard Association brand of dive watches, and now Time Concepts is introducing the ProTek line of men’s watches. Time Concepts develops watches in Switzerland and Asia and uses only top-quality manufacturers. Most of the company’s watches are manufactured in a dust-free, temperature- and humidity-controlled clean-room environment to ensure years of dependable service.
